Tony Torn   

Hi, my name is Tony Torn. I'm a large, usually bald actor. I am attempting to live down a reputation for appearing naked in experimental theater productions. This is due to a run I had beginning with Reza Abdoh's BOGEYMAN at the LATC in 1991 (where the sight of my nude form apparently caused that venerable institution to shut its doors permenantly), through Richard Foreman's PARADISE HOTEL in 1999. In all, I appeared naked in five separate theatrical productions, and one film, in the 1990's...and still get razzed about it. Therefore, nudity is an option only if someone is willing pony up quite a lot of cash.

All kidding aside, there are so many things I would be delighted to do. Top of my list is to perform a difficult solo dance, either of latin, indian, or tribal origin. I would also love to fulfill a dream of performing a live Shakespearian Soliloquy. To make sure you have got your money's worth, I will arrange to have a Shakespeare expert on hand to rate my technical performance on a scale of 1-10.

I am also a filmmaker, and would be happy to invite you up on stage, film you, and instantly matte you into a background of your choosing. I am also an amateur poet, recently dragged out of retirement by my wife, poet Lee Ann Brown. I will be delighted to create a poem for you, live, incorporating the letters of your name (in either acrostic or present beau form), and then stage the poem in a tableau with the other members of the troupe.

Finally, I am a reader of tarot cards, with a special fondness for the Crowley deck (squeamish anti-satanists be forwarned). I also enjoy throwing the I-Ching, a famous confucian oracle. I will do a live reading for one lucky bidder per night, of either the Crowley tarot or the iChing. Using AV materials and my talented partners on stage, I will be happy to demonstrate your fate.
